Welcome to our world

about us

A drive through the quaint, sleepy village of Suriname in the parish of St. Joseph lies a hideaway treasure in the heart of Barbados’ Scotland District. Surrounded by hills with a commanding view of the Atlantic ocean, this gem of a property is more reminiscent of our mountainous Caribbean neigbours than of Barbados itself. The idea of Naniki started with the cultivation of anthuriums cut flowers in 1991, evolved into a restaurant in 2001 and now offers self-contained cottage accommodation. We promote an eco-friendly lifestyle, which includes health and wellness, local and Caribbean dining, trail hiking, yoga, ozone sauna and other therapies.

We host retreats, music festivals, weddings and special events.
